SFER NC seeks teacher preparation programs that equip new teachers with the tools necessary to succeed in their respective ocmmunity placements. These programs should be held to accountability standards based on teacher performance. We believe that these programs should emphasize subject matter expertise, guidance to navigate unique community needs and inequities, and continual, targeted feedback for early career teachers.
